**Your daily duties will include**:

- Nutritional management of oncology inpatients and outpatients including conducting comprehensive nutrition assessment, planning, and implementing appropriate nutrition intervention and providing education and counselling to patients and their carer’s.
- Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including medical staff, Speech pathologists and clinical nurse consultants on the co‐ordinated preparation of patients for, and recovery post complex surgeries to manage the dietary and nutritional needs of patients.
- Participation in supervision, teaching and education activities and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assesses and analyses dietary practices, body composition, and energy balance (intake and expenditure) of patients in the context of optimal health calculating nutritional values of food served.

**Selection criteria - To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia
- At least one year of experience in an acute hospital setting. Experience in the clinical areas of oncology, upper gastrointestinal, colorectal, and/or head and neck surgery is preferable.
- Evidence of experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of commitment to professional development
- Evidence of involvement in quality activities
