Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Leading Hand / Store person is to provide the required support to the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure day to day operations are being managed efficiently and effectively.
About the Role

The Warehouse Leading Hand / Store person is to provide the required support to the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure day to day operations are being managed efficiently and effectively.

Core responsibilities include but not limited to managing outbound material orders, ordering warehouse supplies and any other duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor and or National Office.

Work hours will range 6am to 6pm weekdays, with usual work day being 8hrs, with occasional overtime as required, which may include weekends

As directed by the Warehouse Supervisors priorities:

- Fulfill the role of supervisor as required in their absence.
- Manage all Outbound Orders / Supplier Returns - Core Duty
- Review all Customer Orders and Transport Tasks
- Print Picking Documentation when required
- Ensure all UOM's are correct on all orders to accuratley pick material from location
- Ensure order status are updated accordingly in the system to reflect process
- Managing all outbound freight process through incumbent freight providers
- Process Order to completion when it leaves the warehouse. All non-FIM (paid material) orders to be processed before leaving the warehouse.
- Review backorders daily and fulfill when stock is available.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders about status of their orders when requried
- File all paperwork according to company policy.
- Supervise Warehouse staff and work tasks
- Manage Warehouse Supplies - Non Core Duty
- Ensure the warehouse has adequate supplies of the following items where applicable:

- Stretch Wrap and other packaging supplies
- Gas bottles for Forklifts
- Stationary
- Safety Equipment
- Amenities
- Other consumables as required
- Manage Inbound Deliveries - As Directed
- Ensure all inbound documentation with transport company is signed as ‘Subject to Check’ or ‘STC’
- Ensure delivered goods are checked against delivery docket and note any discrepancy
- Advise any non-conformances to the National Office.
- Ensure that all delivered goods are receipted into the required bin locations.
- Receipt / fix any non-conformances as they are corrected by the National Office.
- File all paperwork as per company policy.
- Other duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, and or National Office.
