**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our PPAD (Plate Processing & Despatch) team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility as an Operations** **Coordinator. As an integral part of our steel making operations, the PPAD business is the final step in the manufacturing of our superior steel plate products at our Port Kembla site. Plate is received from the Plate Rolling Mill and is cut, finished and despatched, to our export and domestic customers.

As someone who is looking to grow both your operational and leadership expertise, this role will provide you the opportunity to develop in several of these key areas, setting you up for further career progression and possibilities

Working closely with our crews and frontline team, you will support the day-to-day operations through a display of technical nous that ensures the department is running to production targets, with mínimal waste and downtime. Coordinating crews and onboarding employees will add another dimension to the role, as you take ownership of some key people processes. Leveraging your experience and understanding of production facilities, you'll have a pipeline of exciting key projects to be involved in. We will be looking to these to drive the success of the department now, and into the future.

You’ll also be supporting the Plate Processing and Despatch Manager - this will provide you with exposure to other management teams across PKSW broadening your knowledge of our operations.

This essential role works Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for flexible work arrangements under our B-Flex program. When you join our team, we also offer access to our Employee Assistance provider and other health and well-being programs.

**What Will You Do?**

You’ll lead and support your team, whilst building effective relationships and champion a safety-first culture. You will also:

- ensure safety standards are never compromised making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identified
- lead and support teams and team leaders, provide guidance to achieve business targets ensuring product testing and processes are executed
- undertake return to work coordination duties
- manage recruiting and onboarding for new starters
- utilise your dedicated technical focus to troubleshoot, monitor, investigate to repair and resolve issues
