**The Head of Communications leads the strategic use of stories, photos and videos to help grow our audience and inspire action, and the delivery of high quality communications strategies for a range of organisational initiatives, including clinical programs, community awareness, staff recruitment, brand and reputation management, and fundraising campaigns.**

**What You Will Be Doing**

The Head of Communications leads a high performing team consisting of a Communications Specialist, Communications Officer and Digital Designer. The role reports to the Director, Corporate Communications & Philanthropy.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Minimum five years’ experience in strategic communications and/or journalism, marketing and/or brand development in a large organisation
- Experience working at a strategic level in communications within an organisation
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team towards goal achievement, including experience with coaching, reflective practice and a learning approach to inspire effective performance
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to relate to a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and at various levels of seniority
- Proven ability to build strong and effective working relationships to deliver outcomes
- Proven ability to write engaging content for all channels, with a strong editorial lens
- High level understanding of social media, SEO, audience growth, website and intranet management and analytics
- Current driver’s licence

- Please refer to salary circular Victorian Public Health Sector (Health And Allied Services, Managers And Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
