**Your new role awaits**

This is a newly created role within Coates’ Technology & Transformation division based at our Mascot corporate head office, and** **reports directly to the Service Improvement Manager.

Your core responsibility will be to ensure an accurate and complete configuration management system including Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management and CMDB.

You’ll work closely with other IT teams to align asset and configuration management processes with broader IT strategic initiatives and goals.

**A typical day for you**
- Establishing and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Developing and implementing processes for asset retirement, disposal, and replacement.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance asset management processes, tools, and workflows.
- Reporting on asset utilisation, software license compliance, asset lifecycle, and other key performance indicators to support decision-making.
- Conducting audits to verify the accuracy and integrity of the CMDB data.
- Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with IT assets and configurations, including security and compliance risks.

**What you’ll bring to the role**
- Experience building CMDB and asset frameworks.
- Working knowledge of Asset Management Procedure including Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management and CMDB.
- Collaborative and logical approach with experience in Service Integration and Management (SIAM) processes and principles or similar
- Understanding of cloud Technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of discovery tools
- Experience conducting risk assessment of IT assets and configurations
