We currently seek a **Principal Technical Safety Advisor** **to join our Corporate HSE team on a fulltime basis at our Perth office.

Reporting to the Head of HSE, your role will be the internal focal point for all technical safety queries as well as being responsible for:

- Provide process safety assurance support to MEPAU leadership, projects, and operating assets.
- Establish and assure process safety risk related standards for MEPAU to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensuring capital projects and operated asset management of change risk assessment processes adequately address technical safety hazards.
- Support investigation of process-safety related incidents, analyse trends and share learnings across the MEPAU business.
- Monitor to ensure all safety related Regulatory approvals are in place and effectively implemented and managed.
- Provide input into the development of the Corporate HSE budget.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent engineering degree, preferably with specialization in safety engineering / risk management.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in offshore and onshore safety engineering for Oil & Gas projects / operations, including coordination, contribution, and close-out of HSE studies including HAZID, HAZOP and SIL assessments.
- Sound technical knowledge and experience regarding international standards and recommended practices applicable to safety critical elements and performance standards, and process safety related Key Performance Indicators and other assurance tools.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office program suite and Bowtie software tools.
