I am looking for self-reliant, friendly, and empathetic Support Workers to assist me in achieving my NDIS goals and help with my daily routines.

I enjoy going for walks/drives in the community, I enjoy visiting Glenelg & other beaches. Other hobbies include football, cricket, and swimming.

**The Role**
An opportunity is available to join my team of wonderful support workers who help to facilitate my daily life. My support workers assist me 1 to 1 throughout the day.

Due to some of the challenges I face, I have difficulties regulating my emotions and expressing myself. In such situations, I would like you to show me compassion and understanding, be gentle but firm with me. When I am heighted or have delusions, I tend to become verbally aggressive to you, I may use inappropriate language. In these situations, please disengage and let me self-regulate. Please recognize my condition and understand my situation.

I am seeking a Support Worker who is wanting to join a team environment, passionate about helping me with my dreams and goals.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist me with ADL's
- Personal care
- Manual Handling
- In home activities such as cooking and arts
- Checking my BGL and administering insulin
- Support me to achieve my goals to reach my potential in all facets of my life.
- Support my life skill development through proper implementation of established plans and programs to support the achievement of goal outcomes for me.
- Actively engage in person centred active support.
- Maintain accurate records.

**Shifts**
I am looking for someone to support me on a Part Time basis.
- NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability related check
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification
- Epilepsy Management Plan &
- Asthma Management Plan
- Dysphagia training
- Manual Handling Level 3

***About you**:
I am looking for someone who is punctual, consistent, and reliable and highly passionate. I require assistance with day to day living which includes household tasks: washing, and cleaning. I need support with food shopping, cooking and/or meal preparation and medication assistance.

I have a structured routine that I would expect you to follow. With my limited communication skills, please show patience and offer me choices and options.

**Other requirements**:

- Experience in working with people with high behaviours of concerns.
- Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
- Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
- Flexible working hours
- Experience in various models of support preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.
