**About the Role**:
**Hours of Duty**: The successful applicant will be employed for 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The roster will be 7.25 hours per day plus some additional time worked to accrue holiday leave. The start and finish times will vary and will be between 5.00am & 9.00am and 2.00pm & 6.00pm, with additional time for Holiday Payments accrued. The successful applicants will accrue recreation leave and sick leave from the date of appointment.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards. Sweeping and vacuuming, removal of graffiti, hosing
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
- Other appropriate cleaning duties as directed by the Principal/Business Manager. Security
- Activating and disarming school security systems as required. Locking and unlocking buildings.
- Liaise with Principal/Business Manager concerning purchase and/or replacement of cleaning materials.
- Reporting security, safety, damage concerns to the Principal/Business Manager or Schools Officer (Facilities and/or Grounds). - Other responsibilities (as required) and suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.

Please note that the school will close for the Holiday Period from Monday 11 December to Friday 10 January 2024.
