Local Gruyere Winery is seeking a Vineyard Manager to manage vineyard operations and personnel The Vineyard Manager oversees safe viticultural practices year-round, including total vineyard care (scheduling and directing tasks related to the life cycle of vines and performing vineyard upkeep such as pest control and irrigation maintenance), vineyard staffing, training and development. The Vineyard Manager brings demonstrated experience in an agricultural environment, solid supervisory/managerial experience, and a desire to continue the legacy of producing quality fruit for their wines.

**Tasks**:

- Responsible for managing the production, maintenance and harvest of vineyards including weed management, pest and disease control, irrigation, nursery operations, and research
- Acts as liaison representative, including liaising with viticulturalists, winemakers, regulatory authorities and other relevant stakeholders
- Organises logistics, transport and deliveries of grape crops
- Assist in achieving profitable levels of production
- Manages reporting and compliance responsibilities, including WH&S.
- Quality control management
- Planning the resource scheduling
- Budget management and reporting
- Management of employees

**Requirements**:

- Australian citizens and permanent residents encouraged to apply
- Minimum AQF Diploma or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum three years of recent and relevant work experience
- Detail oriented and quality driven.
- Possesses solid management and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to generate and utilize data reports.
- Communicates and interacts well with customers and employees at all levels (Oliver executives and those from outside companies, fellow managers, customers, and part time event staff).
- Seeks new knowledge and experiences to enhance value as Oliver Winery employee.
- Accepts direction and constructive criticism from others.
- Exhibits a strong interest and appreciation for wine.
- Takes ownership of responsibilities, including meeting deadlines for reports & filings.
- Has a willingness to communicate in a persuasive and constructive manner that leads to positive change.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

**Education**:

- Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Vineyard Manager: 3 years (required)
