My client is responsible for managing the electricity and gas systems and markets across Australia, with the goal of providing affordable, secure, and reliable energy to all Australians. This is a permanent role with national importance and can be in any major city but the preference is Brisbane.

As a Principal for Cyber Incident Coordination, you will be the voice of the energy security program which has national significance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and evolve sector specific incident response coordination arrangements
- Establish operational security contacts and manage stakeholders across government, industry, and academia
- Review, maintain and evaluate sectors specific incident response arrangements
- Promote sector wide understanding of the cyber threat environment and effective mitigations
- Coordinate internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives and manage incidents impacting grids and markets
- Support Managers with the Energy sector with reporting on progress against initiatives

About you:

- Tertiary qualifications in computer science, technology, energy or related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in energy critical infrastructure and cyber security.
- Demonsrable incident coordination and cyber exercise experience
- Understanding of the jurisdictional structures and arrangements for managing energy and cyber security.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience in the development and implementation of security strategies to address material cyber risks.
- Up-to-date knowledge of adversary tactics and techniques.
- Experience with vendor performance management
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a national security clearance.
