WHSE Manager (NSW/ACT) - Greater Sydney

Reporting to the M&I National WHSE Manager, this role will be responsible for leading the WHSE function across multiple sites in NSW and ACT for our Masonry and Insulation business unit.
You will play a key role in cultivating a high-performance culture that enhances operational efficiency and sustainability. In this hands-on position, you will offer practical WHSE guidance, propelling WHSE in a positive direction. You will be part of a collaborative team within an organisation that prioritises growth and development.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provide guidance and mentorship to operational line leaders in WHSE
- Facilitate activities aimed at promoting and integrating WHSE initiatives
- Assist site management teams in implementing CSR's key risk programs and standards
- Advocate for agreed CSR initiatives such as Never Walk Past, Guarding Improvement, Chain of Responsibility, and risk reduction plans
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by streamlining processes and systems
- Foster a culture of compliance with WHSE standards and responsibilities
- Collaborate with site management teams to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and ensure prompt resolution of agreed actions
- Evaluate performance and utilise insights to pinpoint gaps and prioritise actions for compliance with legislation and CSR WHSE standards
- Lead the WHSE Business Partner to achieve specific targets and key performance metrics

**About You**:
You will have experience in engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and strive to advance the WHSE strategy through enabling a unified culture, including:

- Previous experience in a comparable role
- Exceptional communicator at all organisational levels
- Positive mindset, committed to collaborative problem-solving
- Proven track record in achieving Health, Safety, and Environment goals, particularly in industries with higher safety risks like Manufacturing, Construction, or Heavy Industries
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a strong ability to lead teams effectively
- Proficient in engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Skilled in interpreting standards and driving continuous improvement
- Capable of contributing to strategic planning, system implementation, and adherence to standards
- Possesses relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably a Degree or Advanced Diploma
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (beneficial but not mandatory)
- Cert IV Environmental Management and Sustainability (beneficial but not mandatory)
