Parent Seed Technician

A full time position is available for a Parent Seed Technician, who has an interest in plants and how they grow. Assisting the team leaders in light agronomy style jobs, looking for pests, roughing and moving pipes, are the main duties. Attention to detail and a keen eye is essential to succeed in this role. This position will be labour intensive, you will need your own outdoor protective clothing, and to bring your own morning/afternoon tea and lunch. The role will require travel, moving between 12 farms, Monday to Friday from 7am-4pm. This is a great opportunity to work for a reputable seed company, dealing mostly with canola. This role would suit a school leaver or someone looking to develop a career in the Agronomy field. A chemical handling certificate would be advantageous, as well as a truck licence, but it is not essential. No accommodation is supplied, therefore you will need to have your own reliable transport to and from the main property. A work vehicle will be provided throughout the course of the day, for work purposes only. You will be working within a small team of 3-6 people, so people skills and good communication skills are a must. If you enjoy working outdoors and within a team, this is the position for you.
