Our Infrastructure team has been helping the largest infrastructure clients across Australia with their complex projects. We have a new role for a **Cost Control Lead** to help our Infrastructure and Defence projects in Adelaide, who can lead the teams across the full lifecycle of project through excellent interface management and stake holder management.

We work on projects of all sizes from one-off developments to mega-programmes, from planning the future development of international airports to site based construction of individual buildings, or the largest Water and Utilities infrastructure projects in the country. We cover everything from leading teams, planning works, tracking progress and business case delivery to bringing assets into use.

The main purpose of the Cost Control Lead is to optimise project success by delivering against agreed program objectives. Some of the key specifications we attribute to the purpose include:

- Track actual costs against budgeted figures and analyze variances
- Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial summaries for stakeholders
- Develop and implement cost control procedures to monitor and manage project expenses
- Understanding and knowledge of cost control systems like EcoSys, Prism etc
- Establish and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals
- Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring adherence to approved budgets
- Lead the preparation of cost estimates and support bid proposals
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and project contract requirements
- Relationships - Stakeholder management
- Develop and implement Earned Value Management (EVM) systems to track project performance.
- Analyse project data to calculate EVM metrics.
- Prepare reports based on EVM metrics to provide insights into project progress and performance.

**Qualifications**
- _ Must be an Australian Citizen and able to work in Adelaide. _
- _10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5+ years working in a Cost Control/Project Controls role._
- _ Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience._
- _ Strong knowledge of Cost Control and Project Controls._
- _ Experience working in the infrastructure (marine, ship yards, civil) and the Defence sector._
- _ Experience of managing multiple concurrent projects at various stages of delivery._
- _ Experience operating at various stages in the project lifecycle._
- _ Strong stakeholder management skills including coordination and communication._
- _ Self-motivated team player with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands._
