On Track Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Manager for our client based at their offices in Fremantle, over looking the Swan River.
This a 6-12 month fixed term contract with the opportunity for permanency.
**About the Role**:
The Category Management team is the largest group within the Procurement & Contract Management team and is responsible to manage the full lifecycle of goods, services, technology and works contracts across operationally critical infrastructure, industrial equipment, land and marine fleets, facilities, professional services and technology segments.
**Reporting to the Senior Category & Commercial Manager, the role will**:
- Promote and foster a cross-functional team environment to build relationships with key business partners to support the planning, delivery and management of procurement services for the benefit of client operations.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including planning, tendering, negotiation, contract management, contract administration, purchasing and spend management.
- Be data lead, using procurement data and information to continually improve contract purchasing, spend, and sourcing performance for your category.
- Be the master of your contract portfolio, responsible to set the strategic direction and deliver on your plans.
**About You**:
- You will be a hands-on individual with strengths in end-to-end procurement, including procurement planning, tendering, negotiation, contract management and purchasing.
- You will be data driven and confident in the use of procurement systems to analyse purchasing, contract and procurement performance.
- Individuals who are experienced contract managers, and/or the administration of complex contracts, would be well suited to the role. Experience in maintenance/minor works projects/s, or facilities management categories will be highly regarded.
**Other essential criteria include**:
- Tertiary qualification and/or commercial experience in a relevant discipline (e.g. Strategic Procurement, Commerce, Business Administration) or progress towards a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated commercial experience in the planning, development and/or management of contracts within a complex organisation.
- Highly developed written communication skills.
