Your opportunity
In the role of Senior Business Officer, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, execution, and delivery of a comprehensive range of business support services to support individual business unit. You will play a valuable role in coordinating the identification and supporting the implementation of initiatives to contribute to short and long-term organisational effectiveness in an environment of continuous change and development.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Provide advice and support for procurement related activities including preparation of procurement documentation, liaising with external parties, and assisting with tender processes in alignment with the departmental procurement business and governance framework. This includes, but not limited to, identifying appropriate procurement options, including knowledge of relevant arrangements and panels.
- Support activities to ensure compliance with corporate governance obligations, standards, legislation and policies and report on non-compliance and implement, monitor, and report on rectification measures.
- Provide support and work as a team to maintain financial and procurement systems, processes, and local practices using software packages, for example, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation packages including 3PCM and SAP.
- Work together with the Business Support team to manage the team inbox including delegation of tasks, management of workloads to ensure optimum utilisation of human resources, systems, information, and other resources within the section.
- Support the Senior Advisor (Business Operations) in managing and implementing identified projects which contribute to improvements to business operations and service delivery, with a particular focus on procurement
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by co-ordinating the implementation of enhancements to systems and processes which contribute to long term business improvement and participate in knowledge sharing across the broader team.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the Business Support Team Network, including promoting a positive culture across the business and living our Values.
- Provide input into the preparation of briefings and correspondence for the Senior Advisor (Business Operations), where required.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Senior Advisor (Business Operations) and Principal Finance Advisor.

This position reports to the Senior Advisor (Business Operations) and has no direct reports.
