Herrth is proud to partner with a leading Australian contractor who has project exposure throughout the APAC region. After recently delivering (again) positive financial results to their shareholders, they have recently been awarded a crucial, and significant in-scope rail and (separately) bridge construction projects in Victoria and Tasmania. The projects will deliver a range of direct benefits for Victoria & Tasmania including local employment, a more efficient transport network, and, increased economic activity in both states.

We are looking for Civil General Superintendents with bridge construction and/or rail construction experience. Projects are based in Victoria and Tasmania, all $300m+ in value. Qualifications and Requirements:

- Supervision and direction of civil construction activities, including sub-contractors.
- Ensuring that all applicable safety codes, requirements, and standards are complied with.
- Lead a team of experienced Foremen
- The ability to work within tight deadlines whilst maintaining a quality focus
- Commitment to timely resolution of issues
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Civil Superintendent
- Strong technical knowledge of structures (bridges/culverts) & paving, or, rail projects
- A committed, professional & positive attitude
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability in the coordination of work teams and machinery.
- Commitment to safe working practices in general and project safety plan.
- Work closely with Engineers to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost, production, and time perspective
- Ensure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals, and standards with a focus on Risk Management
- Ensure all Foremen, Leading Hands, Operators, and Labourers adhere to project Health & Safety requirements

Due to the critical and city-shaping nature of these projects, and the exposure they will receive from industry, media, and political perspectives - we are open to consideration of applicants with proven (sector, project value, etc) experience in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Asia, South Africa or EMEA.
