**The opportunity**

Kinetic is a trusted transport partner of the Queensland Government proudly operating 58 urban bus routes across the Gold Coast region and hundreds of weekly school services.

With our buses and passionate team members, we put people first and deliver safe, clean and green bus services. We’re also helping the Queensland Government transition to zero-emissions vehicles by introducing fully electric buses to the network.

The General Manager Gold Coast is responsible for overseeing the operation of Kinetic's Gold Coast business, including the Gold Coast Translink contract, Northern NSW operations and non-contract charter business. This is a key leadership role, managing our people, efficient rostering and use of our assets (fixed and rolling stock), promoting safety and wellbeing, and ensuring compliance whilst delivering financial performance and business growth. There is also a growing focus on continuing Kinetic's Zero Emission Road map through its expansion of BEBs (Battery Electric Buses).

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience with you:

- Transport industry & management experience with proven leadership expertise.
- High-level knowledge of operational systems and logistics functions.
- Change management knowledge and experience.
- Sales and Marketing knowledge and experience.
- Strong stakeholder management experience - both internal and external.
- License to drive a Bus or willingness to obtain as Senior Managers are expected to lead from the front and drive.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated enthusiastic approach to day-to-day business operations and positive approach to a continual changing work environment.
- Strong computer literacy, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

**What you will be doing**:

- Provide leadership to the Gold Coast team in line with company values, demonstrating excellence in people management and aligning to business objectives.
- Lead and manage all aspects of Kinetic's bus operations across the Gold Coast
- Maximise cost efficiency and operational excellence within contract frameworks through use of analytics, market intelligence, insights and effective implementation.
- Drive high levels of customer satisfaction through execution of service standards and initiatives, visible operational leadership and high interaction with customers.
- Support Managers to ensure workplace and industrial relations matters are resolved.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement to all business processes across the region.
- Monitor and report on the regions' performance, ensuring compliance with KPIs across all areas.
- Ensure fleet maintenance and presentation is of a high standard.
- Identify business opportunities and lead contractual discussions/negotiations.
- Budget management, monitoring performance against budget and addressing any issues, and responsible for the management of profit and loss accounts including revenue and all related expenditure.
