Family Photographer Assistant

**MAX Family Photography is looking for a photographer assistant.**

If you are a patient, outgoing and organised individual with a keen interest in photography who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and enjoys working with children then this position may be perfect for you.

Would suit perfectly a person with previous child care experience or a parent/carer seeking extra income during school terms.

Extensive photography experience is not essential as training will be provided. We work exclusively on location so the lifting and carrying equipment is part of the job, good health and general fitness is necessary.

Prior experience in working with children or a background in theatre, Entertainment or Photography would be an advantage.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help carry gear during a session or an event.
- Assist with setting up and managing lighting equipment and props
- Be an extra set of eyes during shoot - help me look out for stray hairs, wrinkled clothes, etc.
- Help to pose and direct clients during sessions.
- Help get children to look at the camera during family sessions.
- Offer creative ideas during sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
No photography experience is necessary.
- Experience working with Children.
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults
- A neat and tidy appearance
- Punctuality and reliability
- Familiarity with professional cameras and basic knowledge of lighting desirable - Much of this can be taught to you
- Able to be active for long periods of time

Schedule
You will be working approximately 1-2 weekends every month in different outdoor locations.
