Mitsui E&P Australia Pty Ltd (MEPAU) is a leading energy company in Australasia. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd. and operate as the regional oil and gas exploration and production headquarters for Mitsui in Australia. We have interests in approximately 30 projects of various exploration/development stages and a rapidly growing operator presence in the Perth Basin.

We are seeking a **Maintenance Coordinator (Mechanical) **who will** **be responsible for the coordination of maintenance activities involving mechanical, rotating and other related systems. This is a new position that will join our Perth office team of experienced professionals on a fulltime basis. The role will initially be offered as a three-year fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Operations Maintenance Superintendent, you will:

- Work with the Operations team to identify and execute strategies for the continuous improvement of the maintenance and scheduling system;
- Identify opportunities for facility improvements in equipment availability and reliability. Utilise internal and external resources to develop and present proposals and, when approved, provide a plan and execute delivery;
- Utilise the long-and short-term integrated activity planning process to enable work programs to be completed efficiently by utilising resources efficiently, identification of future opportunities including elimination of conflicting tasks and unnecessary downtime. Minimise the requirement for technician overcycle;
- Support the Integrated activity planner (IAP) in task estimating and specification development;
- Take the lead in resourcing of materials, spares, tools & consumables and site preparation of these in advance of the task;
- Support and ensure compliance with MEPAU MOC process;
- Participate in HAZOPS, HAZIDS, SIMOPS, Equipment Criticality workshops, RBI studies;
- Monitor the Perth Basin CMMS to ensure that the work backlog and inventory is managed in accordance with reliability, availability, and integrity targets;
- Plan and support campaign maintenance activities, including shutdowns, and support site operations with major works or statutory equipment inspections;
- Support and maintain CMMS, asset hierarchy, PM development and compliance and quality workorder closeouts;
- Provide input into operating budgets and submission as part of overall Perth Basin work plan; and
- Frequent travel to site to align with activities requiring close supervision and support.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and experience:

- Technical trade or an engineering Diploma in Mechanical;
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the hydrocarbon industry in a similar role;
- Certificate 4 or higher in Process Plant Operations is highly desirable;
- Proven problem-solving capability;
- Highly skilled in using CMMS’s;
- Prior experience in developing maintenance strategies and identifying min/max spares holding requirements;
- Experience with studies or processes involved in RBI/RCM/FMECA etc. to precede the development of maintenance and sparing philosophies;
- Prior experience in managing contractors for work campaigns, overhauls and shutdowns; and
- Strong interpersonal skills in influencing and teamwork.
