**About the role**

McConnell Dowell has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Advisor to join our project team at our Aura & Harmony trunk infrastructure project on the Sunshine Coast. This role plays a crucial part in the successful operation of a project that is delivering critical new water and wastewater infrastructure to support the growth of Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
- The position of Environmental Advisor will see out the full life of the project with future opportunities available within the wider McConnell Dowell business.
- As the Environmental Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice to construction teams on environmental management requirements to deliver outstanding environmental outcomes.
- Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract and environmental legal obligations.
- Active participation in identifying and assessing environmental initiatives and programs.
- Oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, ecology, water, waste, noise, air.
- Undertaking inspections, audits and environmental monitoring. Reporting, interpretation of results and action of findings.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in area of environmental science / engineering, natural resource management or related field.
- Experience in managing and overseeing Erosion and Sediment Control, Ecology, Cultural Heritage, Water Management programs in sensitive environments.
- Experience with various environmental monitoring equipment and interpretation of results.
- Ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Hold a current Australian drivers licence.
