Would you like to be part of multi-disciplinary, child & adolescent therapy practice? We are seeking a **Therapy Assistant** to join our team of Allied Health Professionals. All Abilities is a private clinic providing assessment and treatment services to children and adolescents aged 0-18 years, as well as support services to their families. We are based in Noosa Heads on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

We are seeking a friendly, driven and active individual experienced in working with children and their families. The successful applicants will work within a team of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists to compliment the broad range of allied health and childhood intervention services provided by our service.

**The role may involve**:

- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Assistance to facilitate social interactions with peers
- Assisting with supervision of children in group settings and 1:1
- Assistance to carry out an individual therapy plan with a child
- Applied Behaviour Analysis program implementation

**Suitability for the Role**:
This position will be suitable for an individual who has a relevant qualification in allied health and/or education. For example, individuals with a minimum 2 years completed of an Occupational Therapy, Teaching, Speech Pathology or Psychology degree.

Some of the qualities needed to be effective within this environment and as part of our team are patience, confidence, resilience and flexibility. You will not be easily manipulated, have emotional and physical resilience with the ability to set strong boundaries. You must be able to build trust.

**The Hours**:
The role will involve 5 shifts per week (part time available if preferred) typically either from 9-5 or 8-4pm.

**The successful applicants should have**:

- Some form of relevant training in allied health and/or education - see ‘suitability for role’ section above.
- Professional Indemnity Insurance OR the ability to acquire it
- A Blue Card OR the ability to acquire one
- Queensland driver’s license and own transport - the position involves a large portion of out of clinic work and travel
- Experience working with children
- Experience working with children with ASD highly desirable
- An ability to problem solve and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
- A strong client focused approach
- An ability to work autonomously, without direct supervision
- A reasonable degree of fitness - some of our children require support/supervision to engage in sporting activities such as mountain biking and soccer.
- Exceptional communication skills

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
