**About the role**:

**About you**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions from teachers as well as use initiative
- Compassionate, caring and patient
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training located in Deer Park during school holidays
- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Able to commit to a 12 month Traineeship

**What you will do**:

- Work with teachers and other teacher aides as part of a team delivering educational programs to students.
- Communicate with students in the delivery of educational programs and assisting communications between students and teachers (for example, PECS program).
- Support teachers with the implementation of student programs and daily routines.
- Support teachers by providing a consistent approach to learning and behaviour management.
- Observe students and share observations with teachers.
- Under the direction of the teacher, assist with communications between school, parents/carers and the wider school community.
- Provide supervision to students in classroom setting as well as playground and other school programs
- Provide personal care to student wellbeing
- Prepare and maintain classroom environment
- Produce teaching and learning resources
