Interested in teaching **Civil Construction (Traffic Control)** at Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre?

The Gordon is seeking a Teacher in Civil Construction, responsible for the delivery of accredited traffic control licence courses within the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre. The Teacher will be responsible for all aspects of teaching, assessment and course level compliance for the short courses.

This position requires resilience and passion to work with a challenging cohort, and will be supported by The Justice Education Programs team, Cherry Creek and Parkville College staff, as well as Wellbeing support services and training.

Flexibility in delivery is a key aspect of the role as our environment is fluid and dynamic, in response to student needs. Scope to innovate whilst delivering a quality experience is the cornerstone of our work.

Specific delivery days are Monday and Saturday with the potential to increase with demand.

Ability to teach across other areas and develop additional Civil Construction curriculum desirable but not essential.

**Skills & attributes for success in this role**
- Successful completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent) or higher vocational education and training qualification
- A degree, diploma or other approved tertiary qualification in relevant vocational area discipline to enable to teach traffic control course.

**Salary**
Teacher L1.2 (AQF4) $83,429 p.a. (pro rata)
Teacher L2.1 to L2.3 (AQF5) $85,169 to $93,961 p.a. (pro rata)
Teacher L3.1 to L3.4 (AQF6+) $99,983 to $111,391 p.a. (pro rata)
- Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate._
