The eLearning Consultant will engage in the consultation process with Departments to design bespoke courseware content that focuses and addresses best eLearning practices. Participate in the coordination of the team in development projects and the adoption of new processes and technologies. The incumbent will lead and coordinate the transition and development of units and courses, integrating educational technology across Chisholm.
The eLearning Consultant will work closely with various staff and departments to maintain an accessible digital presence, develop contemporary industry-aligned training, and ensure high-quality project outcomes. This position will also lead the designing of blended learning resources in the LMS to support authentic and engaging learning experiences, while guiding educators to adhere to Chisholm’s standards and policies.
**ABOUT YOU**
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills, experience & qualifications in:
- A relevant Degree or diploma in business, IT project management, or any other related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Good understanding of the operation of learning management systems and educational technologies for optimum student and teacher engagement.
- Experience in Moodle course administration, design and course level trouble shooting.
- Experience training and assessing vocational qualifications or outcome-based learning programs.
- A high level of interpersonal/cross cultural and communication skills including the ability to negotiate effectively and work through issues constructively, with staff and external clients.
- Overall strong IT skills and capability to problem solve and communicate IT solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Products.
- High level understanding and experience in the development, operation and administration support of learning management systems and educational technology.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively solve problems, make decisions and act, exercising solid independent judgment.
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude and work independently with little guidance in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Proven experience in undertaking and complying with business rules requirements and standard administrative procedures for achieving quality student data management.
- Demonstrated evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Ability to design and develop eLearning content that integrates with Chisholm systems and platforms.
- Experience in the Vocational context to inform adoption of best practices in blended learning.
- Experience as an educator in Vocational Education with a high level of understanding of the relationship between the classroom and eLearning platform.
- Ability to research and develop eLearning strategies to address the needs of students using the Chisholm LMS.
