THE ROLE

Global and Domestic Student Recruitment is seeking an experienced International Country Officer to support the recruitment of international students from the Greater China region through targeted marketing and social media channels.

Reporting to the Regional Director, Greater China, you will:

- In consultation with the Regional Director, Greater China and Country Managers, develop and coordinate marketing initiatives and campaigns to support the achievement of recruitment targets within the Greater China region.
- Manage and continuously develop the University’s Chinese language social media channels to build followers and profile the University’s degree offerings, student experience, distinguished academics and high-impact research.
- Coordinate the design, development and implementation associated with collateral and tools for student recruitment in Greater China region.
- Liaise with the wider Global and Domestic Student Recruitment team to identify suitable student success stories and content to re-purpose and translate for dynamic written, graphic and video content for delivery on Chinese web and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the wider Global and Domestic Student Recruitment team to deliver lead generation, lead nurture, and offer conversion campaigns for Chinese students onshore and offshore, via agent and partner channels.
- Coordinate onshore events and engagement with Chinese onshore students and student associations to build goodwill and referral marketing.
- Liaise and collaborate with service providers and stakeholders to coordinate and deliver marketing material, recruitment events, workshops and webinars.
- Provide support to the team with the implementation and management of inbound and outbound student and academic delegations.

About You

Your fluency in Mandarin and proficient translating skills will be imperative for this position, along with your ability to develop and manage social media channels for our target student markets.

You will be highly motivated, organised and enjoy working in busy and fast-paced environment. You are able to work independently and as part of team to achieve shared goals, possess a positive ‘can do’ attitude and committed to delivering outstanding services.

Knowledge of the Australian and Chinese higher education systems will be critical to your success and ability to hit the ground running in this role.

To Apply- Degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing or media and communications discipline.
- Fluent in Mandarin and proficient translating skills.
- Experience in Chinese international student recruitment and online marketing.
- Experience with Chinese social media platforms and able to remain abreast of emerging technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders.
