An opportunity has arisen for a paralegal to join their debt recovery team and be part of a team renowned for being creative problem solvers focused on efficient processes and guiding clients to save time and eliminate stress.

**YOUR NEW ROLE**
As the valued RIGHT-HAND to 3 lawyers, you will love the
**variety+challenge+ satisfaction** of assisting them with:

- Making accurate records of these communications on file, in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures.
- Drafting legal and court documents, correspondence and other documentation as required.
- Noting and communicating important dates through maintaining the diary of the professional staff (including Leap saved calendar dates), as directed.
- Professionally presenting all outgoing documentation in compliance with the Firm’s standards by reviewing the output of the administrative staff who update the mail register and prepare affidavits of service.
- Maintaining effective filing and document management practices, in accordance with the Firm’s policies (including liaising with administrative staff who are responsible for opening files, adding details and preparing initial documents).
- Participating in file review and monthly matter meetings.
- Communicating with defendants, regarding proceedings and settlement matters.
- Liaising with the Firm’s lawyers and assisting them with defended matters and Court appearances.
- Preparing and managing own fee and costs recording.
- Managing billing on a monthly basis (to be prepared and sent by administrative staff).
- Actively managing any outstanding invoices and accounts.
- Achieving financial KPI’s set by the department.
- Business Development
- Proactively networking by attending industry seminars and events (AICM)
- Meeting business goals and creating strategies for maintaining client relationships.

**WHO YOU ARE**
We are interested in hearing from you if you:

- Have a minimum of **2 years experience in debt recovery.**:

- Are able to work** full-time or minimum 4 days/week (essential)**:

- Have proven ability to work in a busy **fast-paced environment**;
- Have a high work ethic+ are deadline oriented+ proactive;
- Have outstanding **communication, time prioritisation+ customer service **skills;
- Salary will be in accordance to experience ranging from **80-90K base + super+ bonuses
