**About the Role**
Mater Health Brisbane are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic **Outpatient Services - Clinic Schedule Project Officer. **This position is being offered as a **full time contract until July 2023.**
The Ambulatory & Outpatients Services Schedule Officer will support efficient clinic delivery and meet key organisational goals for outpatients through an administrative audit of the outpatient waitlist and clinic session optimisation. This role will be accountable for the overall coordination and management of clinic templates across Mater Hospital Brisbane Outpatient Services and the alignment of the outpatient waitlist to operational standards.
**Salary Range: $46.31 - $50.39 per hour (MCA5) + Super + Salary Packaging access up to $15,900**
**What you’ll be doing**
- Coordinate, maintain, monitor and review of clinic templates, including ensuring appropriate governance over changes, medical officer leave and schedules to support service delivery needs
- Reporting and identification of opportunities to enhance equitable access to outpatient services
- Conduct quality improvement initiatives in the day-to-day activities such as regular audits of the outpatient waitlist in accordance with SOSIS utilising iPM, Verdi and The Viewer to ensure best practice standards regarding clinic management
- Support the Ambulatory Services leadership team in reporting, analysing, making recommendations, and implementing changes regarding service improvements to achieve hospital performance and activity targets.
- Manage, monitor and review clinic room scheduling and utilisation in consultation with the members of the multidisciplinary care team, including identification and escalation of issues and improvement opportunities
- Provide administrative direction and guidance on the development of improved booking systems and assist with the introduction of efficient administrative processes.
- Work alongside BPIO and Specialty Service Managers
- Collaborate effectively with medical staff, Nursing, Administration teams and Allied Health professionals, facilitating a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
- Undertake special projects and assignments as directed.
**About you**
- Be able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team, demonstrating the ability to cope in a high pressure and demanding environment to coordinate, prioritise and complete a number of different assignments of a complex nature within competing timeframes
- Exercise judgement and initiative to solve elementary problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Utilise effective interpersonal and communication skills, including advanced problem solving, decision making and change management.
- Demonstrate effective written communication skills, including the development of reports and appropriate evaluation of successful projects and/or activities.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and support process education and delivery
- In depth understanding of outpatient processes and standards
- Sound understanding of Microsoft suite (including excel, outlook and team), iPM and Verdi
