**Consultant**

Health Policy Analysis is looking for a consultant to become part of our program evaluation team.

**Who are we?**

Health Policy Analysis is a consulting firm working in health care. We work with governments and private sector organisations in Australia and internationally to:

- evaluate health care initiatives and programs and
- develop health service planning tools and funding models.

We are a small group of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in working with clients to improve health care systems.

Our evaluation work often employs mixed methods, including literature reviews, data interpretation and surveys, interviews and workshops with stakeholders. Our consultants work alongside our team of statisticians and data scientists to carry out the evaluation of health care programs and help build the evidence base that underpins our work.

**Who are we looking for?**
- High level writing skills suitable for the preparation of professional reports.
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, including use of software to assist tasks.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
- Interpersonal skills to enable effective communications with clients and stakeholders.

**What does the role involve?**

The day-to-day role of our consultants involves:

- Working as part of a team and using self-initiative to manage evaluation projects, including preparation of project proposals, development of project plans and methodological approaches, undertaking evaluation activities and reporting on project findings.
- Effectively managing work effort across a portfolio of projects to ensure all planned evaluation activities are carried out on time and within budget.
- Contributing to the company’s growth through building relationships with clients and identifying and responding to client needs.
- Maintaining knowledge of current research approaches to support project work.
