An exciting opportunity Room Leader position is now available with our client - an exceeding community-managed not-for-profit early learning service operating in East Melbourne.

Above award wages under an enterprise agreement ($34-$36 depending on experience p/h+)
9-day working fortnights
Five weeks of annual leave paid with leave loading of 20%

About us
You will be supported by a strong management team with a dedicated Educational Leader and an experienced and accessible management team who will provide you with the best guidance and support to ensure we enrich every child's holistic self.
You will be joining a service that takes its responsibility to the local community seriously. The service takes an active approach to educating children on issues that matter to the future of Australia.
Initiatives include building a sustainable and harmonious future in Australia.
The service actively leads the way in creating a sustainable future for Australia. They run an established gardening program, have ambitious goals of creating zero waste by 2023, run a plastic-free campaign every July, and have taken the Take2 Pledge with the Victorian Government.
The service also developed its own Reconciliation Action Plan in recognition and respect for the First Australians and hopes to build equity, unity and equality among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and non-indigenous Australians. A specialised consultant is frequently used to assist staff with embedding this into programming.

About you
The ability to write to a high professional standard and to communicate well with families
Experience leading a room (desirable but not essential)
Superb interpersonal skills with exceptional ability to engage others
ACECQA Approved Diploma qualification (not working towards) or working towards a Bachelor
WWCC and current First Aid training
Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
Committed to continual professional development and is constantly pursuing ways to maximise a positive impact on our students
Passionate and committed to excellence in early childhood education
