ISLHD- EAMS is currently looking for a Gardener / Handyman to undertake maintenance duties in the Shoalhaven HUB, the position will be based at David Berry Hospital and be required to participate in a after Hours on call roster.

**What you'll be doing**

This position is required to carry out planned and reactive minor gardens and grounds maintenance in accordance with NSW Health policy directives and relevant standards within the Shoalhaven Hospital Group, based at David Berry Hospital.
This includes, but not limited to plant and equipment, gardens and grounds, control and monitoring systems, building services and reticulation systems.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

**Selection Criteria**
- Demonstrated competency at planting out, pruning and shaping trees and shrubs and lay out of gardens and lawns.
- Demonstrated competency in general handyman skills in relation to building, plant, equipment and grounds maintenance.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new tasks and ability to adapt to changing work practices.
- Demonstrated sound interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability working as part of a team.
- Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated understanding of Work, Health & Safety requirements including hazard review and risk assessment principles.
- Sound experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages, such as Word and Outlook.
