**your opportunity**

The **IT Asset Specialist** will support the IT Operations Team to review, manage, and maintain the technology assets that enable the delivery of technology services to **yourtown**.

In this position, you will:

- Collaborate with IT leadership to thoroughly analyse and monitor our asset data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Take ownership of developing and implementing robust asset controls, efficient processes, meticulous reconciliation procedures, and effective disposal strategies to optimise asset management throughout their lifecycle.
- Oversee the management, tracking, and maintenance of our asset budgets and financial resources.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and utilisation of our IT hardware assets, such as optimising usage, minimising downtime, and streamlining procurement processes.
- Managing and monitoring mobile phone, fleet, laptops, including tracking expenses & optimising usage.
- Manage stock controls and ordering of IT assets (laptops, mobile phones, peripherals (screens, keyboards, mice, docking stations, cables, headsets etc)
- Conduct laptop builds and other ah-hoc assistance required to the IT Operations team as required, including site visits (interstate and local).

- Demonstrated experience working in IT asset management, with experience in purchasing and receipting.
- Strong interest and understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and tech products.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to think laterally, and achieve deadlines in an environment of multiple competing priorities.
- Exceptional customer service skills, influencing, & networking skills, coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to foster positive working relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
