**About The Role**

We currently have an fantastic opportunity for a **Compliance Manager **to join our ASSA ABLOY Pacific & North East Asia (PNEA) division. Reporting to the Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for leading compliance work across PNEA, as well as support the Legal function. This is a onsite position based in our Cheltenham office in Melbourne.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the division’s compliance work.
- Help identify, manage and solve compliance risks, and advise on compliance topics.
- Ensure the division has the right compliance programs, strategies, policies, procedures and training processes - including regarding such areas as anti-corruption, privacy and data protection, consumer law, export control/trade sanctions, and relevant industry-related codes and requirements.
- Advise divisional management and local entities and organisations on compliance matters such as the optimum implementation of compliance programs, and issues such as reporting of non-compliance issues to relevant regulators/authorities.
- Conduct relevant audits and investigations on compliance matters, and report on them as needed, such as to management and the Group’s Code of Conduct Committee.
- Coordinate with areas such as the M&A team, and legal and external advisors, to ensure appropriate compliance-related elements are accounted for in M&A activities.
- Work closely with the Legal function to support ongoing efforts to ensure the right policies, processes and guidance are in place for division staff in connection with legal matters.
- Provide assistance where needed on legal tasks as a primary avenue for management and mitigation of organisational risks.

Key competencies include:

- 5-7 years of working experience in similar role
- Ability to effectively communicate with Senior Leaders
- Adaptable and pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated experience with the creation of Compliance systems and process
- Demonstrated experience working in medium sized corporations with a “hands on” approach
- Self-starter and proactive
