The **BOATSHED MARKET,** based in Cottesloe WA, is looking for an experienced butcher who has a high level of knife skills and is passionate about the meat industry.

You'll have the opportunity to work with some of Australia's best producers including, Manning Valley Beef, Wagyu Beef from Stone Axe, White Rocks Veal, Wagin Duck, and Game Farm.

**Applicants must have the following skills**:

- at least three years working as a butcher, or AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
- strong customer and people skills
- be well-presented and well mannered
- be willing to work in a team environment
- excellent knife skills with a previous gourmet experience
- positive attitude

**Duties**:

- preparing meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat, and cutting, mincing, and grinding meat to shape and size for display
- preparing crumbed cuts of meat, and marinating, seasoning, and curing unique cuts
- operating machines to grind, mix, mince, and tenderise meat
- advising customers on the suitability and uses of cuts of meat
