**POSITION VACANT - CASUAL TUCKSHOP CONVENOR.**

Shailer Park State School P&C Association is calling for expressions of interest for the position of

“Casual Tuckshop Convenor”. The position will involve 16 hours per week, Tuesday - Friday paid employment with some voluntary hours. Wages are paid in accordance with the P&C Association

Award - (Retail) - State 2016.

**TUCKSHOP CONVENOR ROLE**

To be in charge of the day to day operation of Shailer Park State School Tuckshop and be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Tuckshop in accordance with the policies and directions as determined by the P&C Association and work safe practices.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

Please provide a brief (no more than 500 words) response to the following selection criteria. The panel will review all responses and determine the suitability of applicants for interview. The interview for this position will address each of the selection criteria listed below and the Role Description attached. Selection will be based upon responses to these selection criteria and the attached Role

Description.

**SC1 **Process organisational and financial skills necessary to operate a school Tuckshop (as a small business)

**SC2 **Knowledge or ability to learn quickly about:

- Stock Control and ordering
- Menu planning, food preparation and food hygiene standards, and Nutrition as it applies to school lunches

**SC3 **Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to relate to a wide range of people

Including staff, volunteers, students and other members of the school community.

**SC4 **Ability to supervise and train volunteers as part of the overall Tuckshop team

**TUCKSHOP OPENING HOURS AND DAILY ROUTINE**:
Tuesday - Friday: 7.45 - 11.45 am.

8.00 - 8.30 Preparation for day/over the counter order/sales

8.30 - 9.00 Start processing orders - ready for 10.30 collection.

10.30-11.05 Lunch Break - Over the counter sales to cease at 11.05am.

11.05-11.45 Clean / Reconciliation of daily taking and banking preparation.

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS**:
The position of Tuckshop Convenor is responsible to the P&C Association.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**:
The Tuckshop Convenor
- will commence on a 3 month probationary period
- position will be reviewed every 12 months
- will require a current blue card - (Paid Employee)
- is required to record their commencing and ceasing time each day in the wages book as well as signing in and out at the Office.
- will be required to adhere to procedures set out by the P&C Assoc. in accordance with the

P&C Accounting manual.
- will be responsible to keep track of price increases and report any increases to the P&C

Executive Committee.

**Salary**: $21.09 - $44.30 per hour
