**Fitter and Turner - Job Advertisement**
Knotwood located in Stapylton, QLD is looking for an experienced fitter and turner to work in their shop. The Fitter and Turner is required to expertly and efficiently operate industrial tools to shape, form, customize, and fabricate aluminum products.The successful applicant must be motivated, hardworking, and reliable.

**MAIN DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Read and analyze blueprints and plans to fabricate products and determine product

tolerance and dimensions.
- Assemble and fit parts to ensure accuracy of finished product.
- Monitor fabrication process carefully and make adjustments where necessary.
- Select and use appropriate machines, tools, and materials to be used.
- Prepare and set up machines and equipment needed or the day.
- Operate all basic machine tools.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and other safety protocols.
- Test, measure, and examine completed units to detect defects and ensure accuracy

to specification requirements by using precision instruments.
- Diagnose any faults and repair/maintain machines.
- Maintain all equipment and machines, fasten workpieces, and clean and lubricate

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
Qualifications: At least Certificate III qualification

Experience: At least two years relevant experience

Skills: Must have good communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Have good attention to detail.

Pay: $73,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
