The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

**_What you’ll be doing_**

The role will lead the development and implementation of epidemiology and biostatistical analyses of cancer data, to support the multiple programs of work undertaken by the Cancer Institute NSW from both internal and external data providers.

The multiple programs of work will support the achievement of key strategic objectives relating to the NSW Cancer Plan.

**_Essential requirements_**
- Experience in leading a team within the health sector, to provide analytical and epidemiological support for multiple programs of work.
- Experience in communicating epidemiological concepts and results effectively to peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health care systems, indicator development and the principles underlying health service information systems applicable to cancer control.
- Strong computing and analytical skills using R.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in epidemiology, public health, statistics, biostatistics or health information.
