_**Our Client**_

With over 50 years of industry experience, our client specializes in chemical manufacturing, providing services encompassing manufacturing, packaging, and logistics to their customers. They are catering to various products such as water and solvent-based items, Dangerous Goods (DG), pastes, and powders.
- **About the Role**:_
- Monday to Friday
- Times: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm (Monday to Thursday) 6:45 am - 12:45 pm (Friday)
- PPE : Safety shoes, Long pants, Cotton Hi-Vi's. (Safety goggles, apron provided)
- Breaks: 10-minute morning tea, 30-minute lunch, and 10-minute afternoon break.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Accurately measuring and combining raw materials according to specified formulas or recipes to create various chemical products.
- There is manual handling involving class 3, 6 and 8 dangerous goods. Lifting anywhere between 22kgs - 25kgs.
- Operating blending equipment such as mixers, reactors, or agitators to ensure proper mixing and blending of chemicals.
- Monitoring blending processes closely to maintain product quality, consistency, and adherence to safety standards.
- Conducting regular quality control checks to ensure that blends meet established specifications and standards.
- Identifying and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions or process deviations to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on blending equipment to prevent contamination and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintaining accurate records of blending processes, including batch records, inventory levels, and production logs.
- Following safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with handling hazardous chemicals and operating machinery.
- Collaborating with supervisors, quality control personnel, and other team members to communicate issues, improvements, and recommendations related to blending processes.

About You:

- A strong understanding of chemical properties, reactions, and safety protocols is essential.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in roles involving chemical handling, blending, or processing, is often preferred.
- Proficiency in operating blending equipment and understanding manufacturing processes is important.
- A strong commitment to safety is essential due to the potential hazards associated with working with chemicals.
- Effective communication skills are important for interacting with team members, following instructions, and documenting processes accurately.
- Chemical blenders may be required to lift heavy containers, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are beneficial.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
