**About Us**

Investment and Technology is a Group within the Department of Transport, and is responsible for providing investment strategy and delivering financial, commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for the State.

**About the Role**

This position assists with the development, implementation and support of DoT's financial assurance activities including internal control and compliance frameworks, and financial policies, procedures and compliance activities. This role provides financial compliance advice and reporting and, develops and implements strategies to continuously improve the DoT's internal control mechanisms.

**Key Accountabilities**

Assisting with the delivery of a range of activities associated with the delivery of DoT's compliance requirements including;
- Development and maintenance of DoT's compliance monitoring framework in line with the Financial Management Act 1994, accounting standards, Standing Directions and DTF financial reporting guidance.
- Provision of financial assurance and compliance advice and reporting.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- **Financial Management and Compliance** (Proficiency level: Applied) - Auditing and assessing the effectiveness of internal financial control systems.
