Our Federal Government client provides policy advice to the Australian Government, supporting electricity markets to deliver beneficial outcomes for consumers. They drive national electricity market reforms and implement government policies promoting affordable, secure, and reliable electricity supply, all while transitioning to net zero emissions

Working closely with Senior Executives, you'll exercise good judgment and discretion with sensitive information, gaining insights into senior-level discussions and decisions.
**The Job**
As EL1 Divisional Unit Support, you will be a vital part of our Divisional Support Unit, managing up to two staff members. Your key duties will include:
Lead Projects: Drive projects and work contributing to the division's environment, operations, or supporting the Head of Division.
Audit Support: Provide divisional support for ANAO performance audit processes.
Event Organisation: Lead or contribute to organizing division events and activities, including senate estimates, budget preparation, divisional planning days, and more.
Recruitment and Procurement Advice: Offer advice on recruitment, internal transfers, procurement, and corporate processes.
Ministerial Correspondence Coordination: Oversee the timely coordination of ministerial correspondence.
Divisional Updates: Monthly updating and circulating the divisional organization chart and phone list.
Mentorship: Provide mentoring and support to executive support staff, enhancing overall capability.
Reporting Coordination: Oversee the coordination and clearance of reporting and information requests from across the department.
Cultural Contribution: Work with the Executive Officer to foster a collaborative culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Confidentiality and Ethics: Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and ethical behavior in line with APS Code of Conduct and Values.
**Your Experience**
Public Service Experience: Prior experience within the Australian Public Service is required.
Organisational Skills: Highly organized with strong project management skills, attention to detail, and accurate record-keeping.
Initiative: High initiative, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Relationship Building: Excellent relationship-building and management skills, harnessing input from staff at various levels.
Communication Skills: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including preparing clear, concise, and influential written materials.
Resilience: Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and under pressure.
Desirable Experience: Previous experience in executive support or a divisional support unit is advantageous but not required.
The role is for a s26 transfer - permanent or temporary transfer OR a 12 month non-ongoing contract.
