The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.

**Duties**

The Property Officer reports to the Principal Property Manager and is responsible for the efficient and effective management of a portfolio of Government owned properties covering a range of asset types.

The role will manage a range of contracts, agreements and leases from an operational, financial and procedural perspective, maintain up to date and accurate information in the property data base, meet all statutory obligations relating to the properties, manage and report on capital works projects within the portfolio, undertake negotiations regarding property management and operational issues on behalf of the Department and the Minister, provide input into the development and review of systems, operational plans and policy for the management of the portfolio.

The role will deliver excellence in service delivery, drive strategic outcomes, contribute to economic development and job creation and promote a culture of “one Government”.

**Requirements**:
Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business or a relevant discipline is desired.

**Special Conditions**

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.

Temporary appointment up to 2 years

ASO5 - $83,273 to $92,614 per annum
