**Your Role**
As the company has experienced growth, currently the finance team are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join. Based in the head office in Brisbane CBD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the payroll process for each pay cycle.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing improvement of systems and payroll options as they continue to expand. The chance to influence and implement a new project management and finance system that support our growth and streamline processes.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Preparation of all payroll payments for twice monthly of up to 180 staff across all 6 Australian offices.
- Maintaining payroll records for existing employees and processing new starters
- Processing various types of payments including leave, overtime, paid parental leave, salary sacrifice arrangements, bonuses, staff remuneration, and pay adjustments based on timesheet data.
- Monthly payroll tax calculations per office location, online reporting and lodgment, and payment setup
- Annual payroll tax reconciliation calculation, processing and payment
- Attending to all payroll queries and working cohesively with HR Generalist

**Key Criteria**
- Understanding of a full functioning payroll cycle
- Exposure to Microsoft office 365 suite, particularly Microsoft excel
- Prior experience with MYOB
- Knowledge of the legal obligations surrounding employment, taxation requirements for payroll, and ability to know where to research and go looking for information.
