Due to rapid growth and expansion and off the back of our recent Series A capital raise, we are looking for a **Chief Financial Officer.**

**Purpose of the role**

Reporting to our CEO and as a member of the executive team, you will lead the finance team, providing strategic financial advice and guidance relating to the commercial aspects of a growing business.

A trusted and strategic advisor to the founders, board and executive team you will possess leadership presence and outstanding commercial acumen. Your ability to ask the right questions around the leadership table and to challenge and shape thinking relative to finance will be integral to our success.

**Stuff we’ll trust you with**
- Support Samsara’s international expansion and fundraising activities, playing a key strategic part in new and ongoing capital and partnership discussions with external parties
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Board and Executive Team and provide insights to better manage the business, evaluate investments, and improve decision-making
- Formulate Samsara’s future direction by providing input on the company’s business plan, financial and tax strategies, budgeting, and forecasting
- Develop performance measures that support Samsara’s strategic direction and provide hands-on, metrics-driven financial leadership to Samsara and the finance team, accelerating growth and profitability
- Partner with Science, Technology, Operations and other cross functional teams in support of commercial decision-making (including margin analysis, pricing analysis, supply chain cost modelling etc.), budgeting, new procedures and initiatives
- Oversee the traditional finance & accounting functions, including preparing board reports, annual financial planning, audits, payroll and accounting, tax, etc. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, 5 year financial plans, monitoring cash balances and cash forecasts and all statutory financial reporting requirements

**Top things that will make you successful**
- 10+ years’ experience in a senior financial management position with a proven record of success.
- Background in venture-backed startups, private equity, or other high-growth and entrepreneurial environments
- Experience in raising Series B to pre-IPO rounds
- Mission-driven and self-motivated, with ability to take the initiative with little direction
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior leaders, external partners and internal employees
- Courage to stand alone on issues that are in the long-term interests of Samsara and its stated values and purpose
- Global experience with international expansion across EMEA, APAC, etc.
- Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability with no ego
- Advanced Excel proficiency with practical experience building and maintaining financial models & knowledge of other reporting software
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and a professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
- Previous experience in the science industry will be highly advantageous
