**Job Description**:
**Our Family**:

- Our 5 year old is in Prep at the local school which is 5 minutes’ walk away, she loves crafting and outdoor activities including bike riding, monkey bars and swimming (weekends). Our 3 year old starts kinder next year (2 days a week) and gives awesome hugs; she enjoys watering (the garden), baths, swimming (currently 10am Tuesdays), drawing, bike riding and more. No special needs, no allergies. My husband and I work full time, with some working from home options.

**Your Duties**:

- Your primary and overriding responsibility is to use your skills, experience and judgment keep our children safe, healthy and happy. Your role includes (but is not limited to): - Caring: playing, calming, soothing and nurturing, helping the Children to sleep when needed (applicable only once the newborn arrives, but thankfully our children have been good sleepers & expressed breastmilk feeders to date, touch wood). - Health: monitoring general health and wellbeing - Feeding: heating and preparing food for the Children, managing introduction of solids at an age appropriate time. Mum does the lunchboxes for each day. - Changing: changing/disposing of nappies, toilet training (the as yet unborn child) when age-appropriate. - Dressing: changing clothes when appropriate, selection of clothes appropriate for climate and activities including sun protection with hats, clothing & sunscreen. - Bathing: utilising baby bath safely, using baby appropriate bath products. - Activities: Identifying and undertaking age appropriate activities including reading, singing, walks, visits to parks, playgrounds, libraries, bike riding etc. Taking our 5 year old to and from school. When applicable, taking our 3 year old to and from kinder in 2024 (all adults in the house work together to ensure smooth/coordinated transport of children to activities as required, and anticipate any clashes) - Assisting with appointments, home deliveries (ie bringing parcels inside) - Managing handover to parents: at start and end of day, ensuring a calm and peaceful transition from/to your care. - Communication: communicating all necessary or important information via agreed methods, keeping them generally up to date on the Children’s mood, health and wellbeing from time to time In addition to your primary duties, we also ask that, where possible, you assist us in the management of our home as you would at your own home by: - Undertaking general tidying: wiping down of kitchen and living room surfaces, loading, using and emptying dishwasher, using green waste, recycling and general waste bins, returning items to proper locations. - Looking after the Children’s change table: ensuring adequate supplies of nappies/wipes are in position, filling, emptying and re loading nappy bin (when looking after the newborn). - Loading and unloading washing machine/dryer: also placing wet clothes on washing line/heaters, placing dry clothes in owner piles for putting away - Running basic errands: supermarket trips if we are unexpectedly out of a crucial item such as milk (this has never been needed in the last 5 years), collecting items from post office or posting letters We have a visitor’s car parking permit so if you drive you can park in our street, although no car is needed for the role. Our cleaners come twice a week.

- We're looking for a kind, caring, reliable, energetic, friendly full time Nanny. Our kids are used to lots of outdoor play, for example after school our 3 and 5 year old like to remain in the school park with a snack and play for 2 hours or so. We’re an organised household and the job has a roster/payslips/superannuation/etc. The role is a Monday to Friday one, although traditionally with a regular half day as the other days are often longer than 9-5 (ie often 8:30am and either 5:30pm, 6pm, occasionally earlier starts or later finishes).
