**The Role**

Are you an experienced
**Laydown Coordinator** with a strong background in Project Operational Freight Forwarding? Do you have a keen interest and practical experience in handling Projects Cargo, including Large Out of Gauge Freight? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced person to join our dynamic team based in
**Bunbury, Western Australia**.

This position is casual and will have a maximum duration of 12 months. This position plays a vital role in coordinating the Laydown yard, assists with movement of cargo, with a particular emphasis on Projects Cargo and Large Out of Gauge Freight. You will be responsible for supporting the yard activities and wider project team in arranging and managing the shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

**Key Areas**:

- Performing day to day operations of project laydown yard
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Coordinating and assist with onsite handling.
- Project Administration & Reporting support.
- Monitor and track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to transportation activities.
- Continuously monitor and improve yard processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Keep management informed of any issues requiring attention, suggesting and implementing approved solutions.

**About You**:

- Previous experience in a hands-on project role or as a Projects Coordinator in the Freight Forwarding industry is highly desirable.
- Practical experience in handling Projects Cargo, including Large Out of Gauge Freight, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Air/Sea/Road operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and transport operators.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data management.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good computer skills (MS Office, Excel etc.)
