THE ROLE

The paralegal support officer works across the business operations and litigation functions of the Statewide Child Protection Litigation Office. Attention to detail and teamwork underpin success in this role as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively. The role provides a wide range of support functions across day-to-day operations, with a focus on supporting the child protection litigation functions of the legal teams across metropolitan and regional court venues.

The paralegal support officer will assist paralegals with duties including and not limited to file and record management, coordination of Family Division court listings, electronic briefings, and legal correspondence.

COVID-19 VACCINATIONThe department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances. As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
