**About the team**
The Police Advisory Branch provides legal services, strategic advice and representation to the Chief Commissioner of Police and, by extension, all Victoria Police personnel across the State. The branch is involved in a diverse range of matters, including but not limited to:

- Police duties, powers and responsibilities;
- Criminal law, criminal disclosure obligations and criminal procedure;
- Statutory interpretation;
- Administrative law, privacy and information sharing;
- Responding to subpoenas, including making public interest immunity claims;

We are excited to look for a new Solicitors to join our collaborative and close nit branch. This role will undertake a broad range of duties as specified above, including proceedings in the Court of Appeal.

**About the successful applicant**
- Depending on your experience, you will also have demonstrated experience working on complex litigation with tight timeframes and an understanding or willingness to learn about the principles and practice of law in the following areas:

- Police powers, duties and responsibilities;
- Criminal law and procedure, including criminal disclosure;
- Administrative law and statutory interpretation;
- Public interest immunity claims; and
- Privacy and information sharing.

Please note a requirement of this role is holding a Baseline, Negative Vetting 1 or Negative Vetting 2 security clearance or be willing to obtain one.
