**about the role**

Working in a cohesive team, we are currently seeking a a compassionate and experienced Palliative Care Advisor to join their team on part time basis for a 5 month contract period working 16.5 hours per week on a rotating roster including every second weekend. This role will see you responding to the needs of clients of clients through their telephone and e-support service providing accurate information, referral advice and support to those dealing with a life limiting illness; their families, friends, and caregivers; in addition to providing information and support to health professionals. You will be responsible for identifying individual needs of clients, providing appropriate psychosocial support, providing a referral to Nurse Counselling Services and external referral services and engaging with service providers.

**about you**
- Demonstrated clinical experience or post-graduate qualifications in Palliative Care
- Qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration or membership of respective professional body
- A broad understanding of the issues faced by clients with a life-limiting or terminal illness, their family and friends, including palliative and end-of-care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Developed time management skills
- Strong work ethic and resilience
