**About our opportunity**

Our Community Engagement function is a small team (approx 6) of dynamic, collaborative, engagement specialists, playing the integral role of **ensuring our diverse communities’ needs are heard** and understood by Council within a structured **evidence-based framework**.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you will **lead the community engagement** team as they work **collaboratively** with various internal stakeholders to oversee and coordinate community engagement services for a **wide range of Council operational initiatives** including strategic planning, capital works projects, cultural services needs and asset maintenance work.

We will look to you to for **innovative and best practice engagement** techniques as you continue to drive our Community Engagement operational plan and provide evidence based strategic direction, assisting Council to keep abreast of current issues, trends and community views to **understand community perspective** and be responsive to needs.

We are seeking an **motivational leader** ready for their next step in their community engagement career

You will bring your extensive experience in developing and **delivering evidence based community engagement strategies** and frameworks, and providing insights and advice to **influence** organisational strategic direction.

As a natural communicator, you will be well versed in presenting to and communicating with audiences both written and verbally, **driving engaged and constructive outcomes** with key stakeholders.
