- We are looking for a keen individual to join a client of mine in the Underwriting space as an SME Underwriter

**What will you be doing?**
- Underwriting a portfolio of SME business across property, business interruption, liability, theft, glass, machinery breakdown, electronic equipment, etc.
- Actioning underwriting referrals within the service standards in accordance with underwriting guidelines
- Processing and review of renewals, new business, endorsements, and all required processing
- Liaise with other departments of the business to ensure the implementation of agreed strategies or updates/processes
- Communicate professionally with and develop relationships with brokers including some market-facing activities alongside the distribution team

**What do you need?**
- At least 1-year Commercial underwriting experience and ideally experience with intermediated channels
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of the major risks within the property and liability markets
- Strong experience and understanding of the insurance broker market
