**The Role**

Ventia are currently looking to engage a General Hand to support our SFTF team on our Defence Base Services contract. This role will see you effectively maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of equipment and facilities within the Special Forces Training Facilities under the Base Services contract. This is a full-time ongoing role predominantly based at Campbell Barracks, Swanbourne with occasional travel to other defence bases such as Bindoon and other remote sites within WA as required.

**Responsibilities**

The General Hand’s are responsible for, but not limited to;
- Assist with preparation of ranges for use including target set up
- Assist with minor repairs to target equipment and support to Tradesmen
- Cleaning activities
- Range sentry duties
- Assist transporting and collecting stores, target mechanisms and spare parts

**Skills & Experience**

Whilst the below are desirable, Ventia would encourage people with the correct attitude and willingness to learn to apply.
- Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills
- Heavy Rigid Driver’s License
- Skid Steer qualification
- Excellent Customer service focus
- Good Problem-solving skills
- Must be able to complete & pass Pre-employment Medical, Drug & Alcohol screen
- Must be an Australian Citizen & be able to provide proof of your Citizenship.

**You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance to apply.**
